Playing games is pretty big for me. I consider myself a hardcore gamer owning all the three major consoles from Sony Microsoft and Sega. I enjoy playing all of them.
However, lately or more like for the past three years I feel like the gaming world is not moving at all. All we get are super hyped games that don't deliver.
Some of these games are diablo 3 and guild wars 2. I spent 60$ for each of these games and after three days of playing I was back to my normal routine, and these games were back on the shelf.
The game programmers are just out of ideas that's the way I feel although I should admit I'm not your average gamer, and I'm a pretty hardcore online player.
Many big games from considerable names came out this year and every one of them just failed to put up with expectation.
It's not just me. I know that I'm a pretty heavy gamer but there is just a lack of creativity that runs in the gaming world in this past few year.
The gaming gear is becoming better every year stronger computer, better screen ,motion controllers for hand moments or finger motions all this can give us ten times better games then what we got today and yet nobody has the courage to try and get a new game engine up or test a new idea.
I can understand, maybe they're saying don't fix what is not broken it might be true in some cases, for example, the world of warcraft mists of pandaria. The world of warcraft is the largest online game in the world and yet it a drop lately although the new mists of pandaria blizzard expect a rise in subscribes.
No problem then don't remake the world of warcraft no one wants that, but where is the new graphic. Where is some gaming innovation all, we find today are comic like games from steam.
Not all games are boring, for the past two years I enjoyed playing a game called the league of legends aldo it's somewhat a remake to a game called dota.
Another great innovation is the secret world which tried giving something new but for now, its not really working because of the unrealistic controls maybe in six months time that could be the new great thing.
When I was younger checking out games with friends was great, it was what we did all day long after school, but now I don't have the time for that I just want one or two games that can keep me busy for the next 2-3 months or more.
I got a job and working out and lots of other stuff I don't want to try a game after a game I just want to have "The Game" or at least 3-4 games that will give me some chance to blow off steam and enjoy my spare-time online.
If you believe that the gaming industry is falling down, please like and twitt this article and if possible comment, and if were lucky enough maybe some gaming company will manage to notice this call.
