But recent reports have confirmed that both manufacturers will stick to going a little higher with quad core boards. The S3 is said to run on the latest Tegra processor three created by Nvidia, which is responsible for powering the core chipsets. The processor is believed to be clocked at two gigahertz.

The S3 is thought to be clocked at one point seven gigahertz however it is feasible that it can easily go as high as 2 gigahertz.
