How To Be A Better Gamer If You Use A Left-Handed Mouse

By Angeline Mcneil

Are you left-handed, or right-handed? Well, the online games universe doesn't care about that. As long as you play the game and have fun, you are doing just fine. As you know, there is no shortage of other activities in which people do care if you're a righty/lefty. With online gaming, at the worst you'll need to get a mouse to accomodate if you're left-handed, but then again you probably already had one - so that's it. Now onto some cool tips for gaming online.

Gaming can be even more of a rough go if you're left handed - sometimes. Controllers are built, mostly, for right handed people. MMORPGs, most at least, are great because you can easily use your keyboard with keys given certain functions. What does that mean for you if you're left-handed? Simple - make keyboard shortcuts for gaming purposes. You'll be good to go for practically any role playing if you have the shorts on your keyboard and a left-handed mouse.

Might be good to not be killer-competitive. There is an appreciation for humility with your playing amongst others. If you do a good job at something, don't lord it over someone else who was having troubles. You will lose at some games, even if you're good, so take it well and avoid upset. Be straight and even about it, tell them you enjoyed the game, congratulations, and thank them. When things don't turn out just right, it will help you to do an honest assessment as to why you lost. You really can develop and build a rep as a cool person who is worth playing.

Don't lose sight of the fact that games are fun. These games are more than games they are great entertainment. As you may already know, these games are not a means for substitution of real life. If you end up too wrapped up in a game it is important to realize you need a brain break, go do something else away from the game console, left handed mouses and keyboards for a while. Consider stepping away from the computer entirely or at the very least change games for a while. Not having fun with your games affects more than just you it affects those around you as well.

While it can be, and is, serious; online games are serious fun - people just want to have fun and relax. Your fun will begin to decrease if you get too wrapped up in it and take things too personally.

More importantly, if you act like a brat, the other people in your game won't have any fun either and nobody will want to play anymore. If you play with a left-handed mouse, then that's cool - just don't let it go to your head. Get your left-handed mouse, if you need one, and have fun.
