The database allows maintenance staff to schedule the entire process of preventative maintenance, from work tickets through job completion. It then keeps a record of what inspections and maintenance were conducted in the hotel on any given date.

Paying employees for unnecessary overtime is a primary way that hotels accrue needless payouts. Most often, hotel maintenance teams are forced to work overtime to complete maintenance requests that could not be finished during disorganized, poorly scheduled workday hours. Hotels will surely cut down on maintenance overtime by introducing a CMMS system. The software will provide the maintenance department with the means to pre-schedule the majority of their work, allotting time for any emergency situations that may arise. In the long-run, the implementation of a CMMS program will allow work to be performed more efficiently and with fewer hotel assets, which will result in profit increases for the company.
