The madness along with demolition is the result of World War III which had broken out between the World Republic Federation and their foes. A weaponry used in this conflict have caused to become the world close to inhabitable
The population which survived the war, living in underground confinements has formed an organization; the Greater United Nations which has further established a body known as the Universal Science and Technology Administration (USTA).
Main Objective of USTA is to recognize a new earth in space to transfer to the remaining citizens of the world.
In the Last Hope, the all human kind are on a mission to find another world that they could make it through.
Star Ocean Last Hope Gameplay
Star Ocean the Last Hope battle system is based on real time battle technique just like in the previous episode. The maximum number of characters that you can control in battle is 4 just like in the first 2 episode of the series. While in the third Star Ocean you can control up to only 3 player.
The new Rush Gauge feature allows the players to use a special ability or attack against the opponent or strike a preemptive blow. While the blindsides feature allows players to go out of the line of sight of enemy and attack.
