I in fact like to use the LSW without the grip, alternatively using the silencer (with the attachments perk). The the recoil is still brought under control by the thermal and the silencer is going to let you sneak about the map plucking people off and no-one has any idea where they're getting shot from. It's so much fun!
I have focused my assassin class on the LSW, it really is that good, combining it with Blind Eye Pro, Assassin Pro and Stalker Pro. This will let you stay off the map and radar and with the extra perk that I can shoot almost any killstreak out of the sky due to the additional damage that blind eye pro gives and the enormous magazine of the LSW.
